Gwendolyn's Story
I live in a suburb of Dallas, Texas. I worked for Legacy Immigration prior to 9/11 and transitioned to Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection admin at DFW airport until October 2005 when I moved over to US Citizenship and Immigration Services as a CIS Assistant. February of 2008 I was picked up as an Adjudications Officer which you guessed it makes me a federal officer. Who knew there would be 2 in my family to carry a badge? Certainly not me. But that is hopefully what I will do until I retire which will probably be in 4 years. I currently have 37 years of service in the Government. US Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base for 21 years. I spent 18 of those years in the test community with the F-15 and the B-2, then I spent 14 years at the Test Pilot School as their registrar. Quite possibly the best job I've ever had, then I moved to Dallas in November 2000.
I am currently divorced.
I have two beautiful daughters who live in California and 4 grandsons and a granddaughter and new grandson from my oldest daughter. My oldest grandson currently resides with me in Texas.
I get back to California a few times a year to visit my family. I have sold my house in Lancaster and have purchased my own house on a half acre in Texas.
