Connie's Story
Since I last wrote a story, I retired from teaching for 35 years, went back to school, and got a second Masters Degree in Library Science. As part of this Masters work, I went to Russia and catalogued books at the Anglo-American School in Moscow and later St. Petersburg. Most of the kids are diplomat's children from Canada, Great Britain, and the USA. About a third are Russian, with many passports.
I still have three children, one stepdaughter, six grandchildren, and two bichons. I am writing {as promised} my book on my family--a genealogy book {The Story of My Life and Ancestry}.Most of my ancestors were ordinary, hard working people who came to America to find a better life and practice their religion. n ladies who married colonists who came from England in the 1600s, one who built the first tavern in New England and was a stranger in Plymouth, one who was a brother to Roger Williams of RI, one who was a brother to the pirate William Kidd, eight who fought in the American Revolution, two who fought in the Civil War {Union side--General G. Warren at Gettysburg was a first cousin}' two were colonial governors, two were illegitimate sons of Henry I of England, and at least two lines go to Charlemagne. Remember the girls and second sons didn't inherit as much as first sons. Everyone should know their history and keep a record of the good and bad tales.
