I left Glenville shortly after graduation. My parents were a little strict, and I felt stifled. I can tell you, hind site is 20/20, but try and tell a teenager that sort of thing. LOL
I moved to the Parkersburg area and lived with my brother and his family for almost a year. In the meantime, I met Eric Wright. He was interested in me, which was something I wasn't used to, so I married him. Did I listen to my family and friends pleas not to? Nope. I was 18 and all knowing. Yeah. st her. She was a month premature, and didn't do well at first, but we worked with her, and she started to catch up. Now, she's a very smart, well spoken, and well behaved little 10 year old!
If I could give young mothers one piece of advice, it would be to read to your children from the time you are pregnant, until they can read for themselves. You just can't imagine the difference it makes!
In 2001, I went to the Honey Festival, and saw the cutest things someone had made from polymer clay. I said to myself, "I could do that", and I did! But I took it a bit farther. Instead of simple little animals, I chose to try people, fairies, and all sorts of things. I've sold quite a few of them, and am now moving more towards the area of Art Dolls. Hey, just cause I grew up, doesn't mean I grew old! LOL I am proud to be a big kid!
I hope that answers some questions for you. I don't know how much this place will let you read. If you can, look for me on my blog, wvaclaylady.blogspot.com or on Facebook!
