Shannon's Story
Well, I have been married now for almost 7 years. I joined the U.S. Navy 3 months after grad as a Hospital Corpsman. I got out in November of 2004 and am currently working as a CNA in the Pentagon.
I have 3 beautiful children; Adam is now 11, Jacob is 5, and Jimmy just turned 12 months.
My husband, Dennis, is still in the Navy. We met at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego. We were stationed there for 2 years, and then transferred to North Carolina. I worked at Naval Hospital Camp LeJeune while he was medical support for the Marines. ...Expand for more
He deployed 3 times in the 3 years we were in NC, twice to Iraq and once to Okinawa Japan. We have now been in Quantico, Virginia for 2 years, and will be moving on again next year.
I consider myself to be a Republican; conservative, but not radically so. I am extremely patriotic.
I am vastly different from the way I was in high school. I don't know if the military or just life in general has jaded me, but I'm not the same person. I have a very sarcastic sense of humor.
