Shanon's Story
Life
Well I got my bachelors degree from FSU (go NOLES!) in 2003 and I now work in Sarasota, FL as a probation/parole officer. I am not married, but I am in a serious relationship and have been for about 3 years. I have no kids (thank goodness!) and I love my job. I am glad I finally have an opportunity to use my education for something positive. I recently moved away from Tallahassee to pursue my career, so I am closer to Ft. Myers now. I miss Ft. Myers very much, but since my mother passed away in 2001, I really have no reason to go back. I would love to visit, so...Expand for more

Workplace
My first out of college career is as a probation/parole officer. I love my job, and I am never board. I do felony probation, so I watch the bad guys and try to keep them from doing more than they have already done.
I also use my job to try and help those good folks who made a mistake. I am a firm believer in second chances, and I give them out to all who are deserving.
Hopefully I'll never see any of you CLHS grads in my office, but if I do, I can assure you that you will get the fairest treatment.
