Shari's Story
Life
I am a lifetime resident of Virginia, graduating from Oakton H.S. in Vienna, Virginia in 1986. I was involved in the FBLA, DECA, Girl's Field Hockey and Softball. Growing up I was not involved in any pageants. I have lived in Loudoun County for over 15 years with my husband and three children.
I maintain a valid Real Estate License and have just completed my coursework for my Certified Property Manager's Designation. I am an active member of IREM, VAR, NVAR, DAAR.
Recently changing careers I am a personal fitness instructor, pageant coach and Director of the VA All American Pageant.
I am a devoted mother of three, Chris 19, Kalyn 18 and Jordan 8. Our oldest son Chris is attending Ohio Valley College. During his Senior year at Broad Run H.S. he served as the student body President, and was a solid member of the swim team. Our daughter Kalyn is a recent graduate from Broad Run H.S. She is planning on attending Salisbury College. Kalyn has been active as well; she was a member of the Varsity / Competition Cheer Squad. Kalyn has also played fast pitch softball since she was five. Our youngest Jordan is also very active. He attends school at Countryside Elementary. He plays flag football,...Expand for more
soccer, basketball and baseball. Jordan also enjoys golfing.
My husband Kent is a United States Marine Reservist and employed by Mantech International. He recently returned from active duty in Africa having also spent 9 months in Bosnia in 1997. Kent is my best friend and companion. He spends the majority of his free time on the softball fields, whether he is coaching, umpiring, playing or simply watching he can be found on the local softball fields. He coaches several teams, and plays on two teams sponsored by Christian Fellowship Church, where we attend regularly. When he is not working or on the ball fields he can be found on the golf course, having an extreme passion for the game.
As a victim of Domestic Violence, I entered my first pageant in 1999 as a personal rebuilding exercise. To establish a higher level of self-confidence and awareness. I have been committed to pageants ever since. I continue to use each pageant as a learning and growing experience for myself, striving for the next level.
I am an avid country/line dancer and can often been seen at Nick's Night Club or a WMZQ event!!
