Hi Class of 82 and other Saxonites!
I hope you are doing great!!!!
I have been living in a very remote part of Costa Rica called Drake Bay since 1998. I also lived in Santa Cruz, California for eight years where I was a paralegal and working for EarthSave Foundation, and then Coconut Grove, Florida, where I ran dolphin swim trips in the Bahamas, before moving to Costa Rica.
I just closed my rainforest eco lodge (I did not like running a hotel!) and converted it into a marine research and conservation center. I run dolphin and whale tours and am Founder and President of a non profit foundation, Vida Marina (Marine Life), working towards creating a marine sanctuary in the area.
I have never been married and have no kids, but I do live with several macaws, dogs, cats, green parrots, toucans, iguanas and some white faced monkeys and sloths that hang out a lot. And don't get a picture of an old cat lady in your mi...Expand for more
nd, you are totally wrong!!!! You guys all thought I would be fat, but thanks to green tea, raw foods and the Law of Attraction, I am thinner than I was in high school!
My property is on a point and is surrounded by ocean on three sides with the most biologially intense rainforest in the world as my backyard. My front yard is the Pacific Ocean, but here the water is around 85 degrees, blue and is full of dolphins and whales, my ocean family. I can't imagine living anywhere else! I see something new every day.... I feel blessed and give thanks every single day for this amazing place that is my home.
Obviously I don't get to the States much, but every now and then my Mom threatens me. I will be there for the reunion in October, though, and I hope you all are there!
Anyway, I hope all of you are following your heart and your dreams and living life to the fullest! The purpose of life is life and to be joyful and happy!
