Shari's Story
Life
After college, I moved to the DC area and worked for 2 different associations in an administrative capacity. In 1989 I moved to Alaska and I absolutely love it here, though I hate being so far from family. I live with my husband and 2 sons, but we are becoming empty nesters. My older son goes to college in Wisconsin & plays DIII hockey. My younger son just graduated high school and played a yr of jr hockey and plans to go back to Spokane and play another yr there. ls and hockey associations, but now as they are getting older and leaving home, I've spent more time travelling with my husband to visit and watch our sons play hockey. We love watching their games and thru the yrs have spent a lot of time travelling to tournaments in the US and Canada. It's been great seeing so many places we would not have otherwise visited. I'm an adjudicator for Soc Sec Disability in Anchorage. I've actually met 3 other people in AK who were born in Newburgh, NY! I look forward to hearing from old friends from Newburgh and New Paltz.
