Shari's Story
I have worked in the non-profit world with adults with disabilities since 1992,in three different settings: a residential site, in the school district, and now at a DT&H (day treatment and habilitation.) I found my career path while doing volunteer work while going to school at St Cloud State. I have been married for 10 years, and have 4 bonus sons and a daughter-in-law! I have 11 nieces and nephews and a great niece with one due any day now; the age ranges are from newborn to early 20's. kept off the freshman 15 ( and then some) for 4 years. I also attend Bible Study,something I never thought I'd do or enjoy. My husband and I happily share a home with my mother, and between us we have 2 dogs and a cat. My other hobbies are walking the dogs, playing cards (Rummy), and shopping; I love new clothes! TLC is my favorite channel: Jon and Kate, Little People,ect. I am grateful that everyone in my family is healthy and employed; not easy in this economy. My New Years resolutions are to make smart decisions about money and to keep better connected with friends.
