Sharon's Story
Life
I am divorced and have been for quite some time. I have three children two daughters and a son who are 26 years old, 23 years old, and my son is 20 years old now. I graduated from the Institute for Paralegal Studies, with a certificate as a Paralegal in 1994, and I graduating from Cowley County Commuity College in Arkansas City, Ks. in 1996 with an Assoc. Degree in Pre-Law. I then had to focus on raising my 3 children due to their ages, so I took time off from my schooling. Once I completed getting all my children graduated from high school( the youngest graduated in 2004), I decided it was time to hit the books again and enrolled at Wichita State University where I am now a senior working on a GEBA (General Educations BA) in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology and a certificate in Correction. e grandmother to 3 boys and 1 girl, from ages 1 to 6 and proud of it!! My oldest daughter is married with 3 of my grandchildren (a boy who is 6 yrs old, a girl who just turned 5 and a boy who is 2 yrs. old), and my middle child (a daughter) is married and has one of my grandchildren (a boy, who is almost 2 yrs.old). My second daughter graduated from Cowley County Community College in 02, and now attends WSU with me, (who proud am I of that?), and is persuing a Nursing Degree, and my son just started attending Cowley County Community College, I just hope he succeeds! The jury is still out on that one. But I am still proud of him, and how great is it to be able to say: I have 2 children who is following my footsteps in College?
