Life
Living in beautiful, crazy, action-packed Calvert County! Smashed in between the Chesapeake Bay on the east and Patuxent River on the south and west with only one main road running north to south... or south to north depending on how you view it - it's 12 months of fun-fun-fun. Hee, hee.... especially when you're running volunteer shifts as a Paramedic and there's only one game in town.... but, the restaurants are great!
Married, with children (all grown - thank the Lord) and one grandbaby. Camping most weekends with a group of RVers who are all fire fighters or paramedics - my environmental conscious keeps me within a 3 hour radius. I love Gettysburg - mostly because of the ghosts that reside there. Pt. Lookout State Park in St. Mary's County tends to be home most of the year - because it's so gosh darn beautiful, close and (of course) the ghosts that reside there.... I still love OC and try to visit at least a few times every year.
Brother lives in Key West, Florida - 6 sisters are all somewhat local - from White Stone, VA to Hampstead, MD, ...Expand for more
and we get together three times a year at some remote place to spend time together, drink wine, play cards and regroup. It's great.
I spent several years on a rodeo circuit, barrel racing a great little horse named Billie Bob who lived to a rip old age of 32. Became an EMT back in 1972, a Paramedic in 1990 and volunteered to go to New Orleans during Katrina with Operation Lifeline in 2005, served as Paramedic Chief for a few years, and still ride the wave (although a bit slowly now) a couple times a month. I've never been on an airplane (recurring nightmares as a child...) but - I HAVE been on a Medvac Helicopter and actually help save the little boy's life, although I was sick as a dog for 3 days after successfully getting back on the ground...
It's been a wonderful life - although I feel I've lived several different versions of life as several different people. It's like they say - peeling off the layers of the onion. I'm looking forward to the next 10-20 for exciting new adventures that might take me to who knows where to do who knows what !
