My Spouse
I was working at McKay Dee Hospital as an admitting clerk in the E.R. Before I went to Nursing School. A man who I didn't know (and worked in the Lab) was going to take a friend of mine to the morgue. I was curious so went along. That man turned out to be "the most eligable bachelor at McKay Dee Hospital"as I was told later. We became very good friends and 4 years later were married. We have been married 30 years and are still best friends.
My Kids
I have two beautiful daughters, they take after their Dad, Dennis Maw who was my first husband. I'm sure you remember him.
They are 42 and 40 years old now. My oldest is Michelle and she had 3 children. Nathaniel, almost 23, Ashley who is 21 and Nick is 19. She lives in Roy but has lived in Texas, Maryland and Germany. Natalie has 4 children,...Expand for more
Candace is 20, Amanda is 19, married and expecting my first great grandchild. 2 boys, Sean is 14 and Alex is 12. They all live in New Mexico, but has lived in Alaska, and Roy.
My Job
I love it! I worked as a patient care nurse on the Orthopedic Unit after graduation for 4 years. Then I went to the Operating Room. I worked there for 6 years and when the Surgical Center opened in 1986 I went there. It is a dream job. I love being in the Operating Room, I love the association with the Doctors (most of the time) and the other nurses, but most of all I love being able to help the patients and feeling like I'm really doing something worthwhile. I retired in 1999 after 27 years of service, but have been working on call for the last 8 years. It has been ideal, but I am retiring for the second time Jan. 1, 2008
