Sharon's Story
Life
2012 - I'm married (about 33 years), have 2 daughters, 1 stepdaughter and one stepson. Between my stepkids and my own, we have 11 grandchildren. 9 great grandkids. I retired 30 years ago. Was in outside sales. Loved it, but then grandbabies came along, and money didn't seem so important. I quit and spent the next few years babysitting grandkids. I truly enjoyed those babies. I am a active, practicing Christian (hope to get it right some day). I'm still sarcastic, and love to laugh. In some ways I still feel like a teenager. We are avid snow skiers (that's how we met), I still love to sew and do so frequently. Wish we could leave the L.A. area, where we now live. Would like to move to the Sierra foothills. But that seems doubtful now. This economy isn't conducive to relocating any time soon. I'm in the Bay Area frequently, maybe we can arrange some "mini reunions"! As of 2012, I am a great-grandma. Can't believe I'm old enough to have great grandkids! It's been hard losing some of my best friends to cancer, but I am a survivor - 1 year already!
2019 - Visited China this year. What a trip, not what I expected. Great time. Lost one of my grandsons alm...Expand for more
ost 3 years ago. Have 10 living grandkids, 9 living great grandkids. Life has been good, can't complain. Love to travel and do so as often as possible. Still snow skiing, although not as often as I would like (seems like the body wants me to slow down, I'll go down kicking and screaming). Love to hear from classmates, lots of good memories.
2021 Can't believe I've lost all my BFF from high school, and a number of my BFF's that I met over the years through my career. I don't feel like we are old enough to be kicking the bucket yet. This last year because of COVID has been strange. Haven't been able to see the family as much, not able to attend Church in person, no eating out, it's been yucky. Fortunately, COVID hasn't touched my family or friends and most all of us are vaccinated now so life is slowly returning to "the new normal". Hope someone decides to plan a reunion soon, next year it will be 60 years since we graduated. If Greg Hickey plans a reunion picnic for next year, maybe we could just make that our reunion, It would be a chance to see our classmates, as well as attendees from classes before and after us. Just a thought. Love hearing from you. Sharon
