Sharon's Story
Got out of high school and went to the University of Utah majoring in Journalism. Went there about a year and a half while working part/full time. Got hired part time at the post office in January of 1974, then in March of that year got offered a full-time position. The pay and benefits were too good to turn down, so I quit school and have been at the post office ever since. 36 years!!I retired in October of 2009.
Got married and divorced after 9 years (9 years too long), then married again about 5 years ago to Scott Bailey, also from West. No kids, just stepkids. Just bought a house in Layton af...Expand for more

I have been making jewelry since high school, getting into silversmithing as well. LOVE IT. Kathy Butler and I have been selling it at the farmers market downtown for several years.
It's been fun seeing what has happened to people from school all these years. I was so quiet in high school I probably didn't speak to 3/4 of the kids I went to school with. I came out of my shell and quit being afraid of everyone a few years after high school. Now I don't shut up. Kind of thought it would be fun to go back not being so shy. Oh well, I more than made up for it.
