Sharon's Story
I spent 35 yrs as a computer nerd. I worked in the healthcare field and have done everything from designing computer systems, to installing and selling them, to supporting them. At one time I traveled extensively within the US but gave it up to be home more. I did several years consulting for Kaiser before I retired. I've seen this industry go from fairly complex to insanely complex. The healthcare regulations in this day and age are mind boggling.
I have four children (3 girls, 1 boy), 4 grand-children (3 girls, 1 boy) and three great-grandchildren (2 boys and 1 girl). Two of the four g-kids have graduated college, one is in graduate school and the third one graduated high school in 2007.

ru the old neighborhood when I get a chance. My son is an LA Sheriff Deputy and was stationed at one time at the Norwalk station, just across the street from where I grew up.
I'm in to classic cars and own a fully restored '64 El Camino (her name is Alice) and a '55 Bel Air that's nameless so far - yes I'm a Chevy girl. I'm very active with my car club, Classic Cruisers NOC and you'll often find me at a car show in the area or just cruising around with the club.
I retired Dec 07, took a few months off and then started volunteering at St Jude Medical Center in Fullerton. I'm on the Guild board as well as work in PACU (Recovery). I'm also active with my church, a photography group (we travel extensively to shoots) and other organizations in the area. I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon. My kids complain that they have to make an appointment to see me.
