Sharon's Story
Life
My husband (Jim)and I have been married for 31 years and we live right outside of marion close to the resavoir. We are the parents of 2 children---Kevin (26) and Melissa (30) and the grandparents of 4 girls---Jordyn (9), Danille (10) Skylar (7), and the most recent addition--Maison (15months) Our daughter lives close by with her husband and our son is in the Air Force and lives in Virginia with his wife. We also have a dog named Jasmine who is very spoiled. We are in the process of remodeling our home that we have lived in for 26 years by adding a second story. It takes alot of work. I enjoy my family, my dog,bowling, travel,and various other activities.
School
I started out at Kendall Elem. School from K-6, then went to Jones Jr. High from 7-8, then Marion High from 9-12 in which I graduated from there in 1973.
College

college until my children were old enough to take care of themselves. I attended Indiana University of Kokomo to pursue an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. I graduated in May 1999 and passed the state boards of Nursing in Sept.1999. I now hold a licence for Registered Nurse.
Workplace
I started working in retail after I married and stayed on that carreer path for a number of years. I worked at Marsh Drugs, Marsh Grocery, and then K-Mart. I then decided to change carreer paths to nursing. I recieved my RN licence in 1999 and now am currently working at Marion General Hospital as a Orthopedic/Sugical RN specialized in total joint replacement surgerys. I have been there for about 4 1/2 years. I enjoy what I do, but nursing can burn a person out quikly. I enjoy working with my peers and I learn alot from them in which I continue to learn everyday.
