Sharon's Story

As most folks know, I quit after the 9th grade, I entered into my first marriage and started my family. Of course I was married to the wrong man and things didn't work out.
I wound up moving to Kentucky, this beautiful state I had fallen in love with while on vacation here.
To support my family, I tried several different jobs, never happy in one.
I decided to go back to school and very quickly earned my GED. My most prized moment was when I received my GED and a letter from the governor on the same day. The letter was t...Expand for more

From there I went to work for a floor cleaning company and worked my way up through the ranks to Vice President. But when the economy crashed so did the company. The gas prices killed it.
So now at age 40, I'm finally doing the one thing I have always loved to do. That is writing. I've enrolled into college and soon, I hope to be writing for magazines and will write a novel.
Some memories of Marble Falls remain, some have faded with time. But even if we weren't friends in school, it would still be nice to hear from ya.
