Sharon's Story
Three years ago I lost my best friend to Breast Cancer. She battled breast cancer for 3 long years. I didn't understand it when her family seemed to turn their back on her and stop taking her to chemo and radiation. I have a very loving and understanding husband who allowed me to take off from work once a week and take her back and forth to chemo and radiation for 2 years. have but active in the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure. I have done 3 walks and this year I am chairwomen of the Hendry County Breast Cancer walk. I am passionate and dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer so my grandaughter NEVER has to hear those words. Referring to her, her Mother or friends of her's. Cause it is the worst word in the english language. I carry on in Dawn's name and with Dawn's spirit. And I will NOT stop until a cure is found.
