Sharon's Story
Life
After graduating from W-L, I went to James Madison University. Majored in journalism, graduated in 1993. Marched with the band all four years -- highlights included performing at the Bands of America Grand National Championship in Indianapolis (1991) and at a Redskins game at RFK (1992). Came back to Arlington in 1993, obtained employment as the editorial assistant at the American Council of the Blind in downtown D.C. Now I'm the editor ...Expand for more
of "The Braille Forum." I am also part of a martial arts club, Capitol Tang Soo Do, at the Ballston Sport & Health Club.
Things I remember from W-L:
- being the last class to paint the press box
- selling lots of M&Ms and other candy
- playing in the band
- band trips
- the W-L-Yorktown game in the downpour
- playing in the pit orchestra of "Brigadoon" and getting my acceptance letter to JMU
- working on the yearbook
