Sharon's Story

Shortly after graduation, I married a GI and moved to Long Island, New York. He turned out to be a loser with many problems. I set out on my own and ended up working as a Legal Secretary on Park Avenue for the promoter who was successful in getting Mohammed Ali back into the fight ring in Atlanta, Georgia. It was really exciting meeting Ali and his entourage and glitterati such as LeRoy Neiman (artist to the sports stars in the '70's). Ten years later I met and married my last husband who owned his own small business in New York City. I helped in the business while we raised his daughter by a previous marriage and our son. The business was quite successful until Richard's health got in the way and he was unable to work. After 9/11, we lost everything because our business was located 3 blocks from the World Trade ...Expand for more
Center. We realized only a small percentage from our business insurance because it was classified as an Act of War. I then moved to Colorado to live with my sister and seek alternative medicine for my health problems. Eventually Richard joined me in Colorado, but his health was in rapid decline. He passed away in October 2006. I then moved to the Los Angeles area to be near my children. I currently live in Thousand Oaks, California and feel I might actually like this place. The year 2007 has turned out to be absolutely bizarre for me, but I have survived and actually improved for it. I hope to meet up with old friends through Classmates.com. I have realized that the one thing I need right now is new friends. I enjoyed high school for the most part, but kept a low profile. Does anybody out there remember me???
