Sharon's Story
Following Mother McAuley,I attended WIU with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I became a Litigation Paralegal in 1982. Achieved my second bachelors in 1986, from Rush University, and took a commission in the Navy. In 1992, I completed my Anesthesia education. This was when I met my husband. I was sent to San Diego for two years; Naples, Italy two years; Camp Pendleton with the 1stFSSG,(USMC) back to San Diego with the Fleet hospital; reassigned to The Mercy hospital ship. e were amongst the first response teams during Tsunami. Two deployments later, I deceided to retire and go home to my husband. Prior to retirement, I was with Naval Hospital San Diego, adding to staffing for the returning injured from Iraq. After I finally retired,(21yrs) I was taking contract work, and now ready to resume my "regular pace" We're in San Diego with our German Shepherd, and cats we rescued in Italy.
