Sharon's Story
Native of Washington, DC, moving to MD around age 8. Lived in Langley Park, MD most of younger years attending Langley Park Elementary, then J Enos Ray for grades 5 and 6. Had a brief move around 3rd or 4th grade to Wheaton area and brief attendance in Wheaton Woods Elementary-parents must not have liked it there-back to good old Langley Park.
After J Enos Ray, spent junior high years at Buck Lodge and very distressed when we moved across the line into Montgomery County and had to leave all my friends who were moving on to High Point. I was petrified having to attend Montgomery Blair High where I knew only a few friends I made in our new neighborhood. But, the fear was short-lived--at least the fear of making new friends. The fear of getting lost in the hugeness of that school didn't leave me for quite some time.
Thoroughly enjoyed those high school years, but, all the fun ended in '64. Then on to the work force, taking a break from school from '64 until '75.

d in 1966 and began our family while still working for C&P Phone Co where I started working right out of HS. Couple of moves and couple other jobs between then and when I began courses at Montgomery College in 1975.
Got nursing degree and worked as RN at Sibley Hospital from 1980 until retiring from there in 2002. Very fulfilling but left to spend more time with our growing family.
We have four daughters, eleven grandchildren, and a recent addition of our little great-granddaughter born in Oct 2009.
Love to travel, though granted, most of the travelling is to visit family that decided they wanted to be a plane ride away instead of a car ride away. :-) Family and friends in FL as well and we try to visit them during the NE winters, of course. My most favorite place is Ocean City, MD and I try to get there whenever possible-summer or winter-love it regardless of the weather.
