Sharon's Story
In high school I was involved in outside activities and did not participate a lot in Interlake activities. I kind of regret that as I see the long term relationships my sons have with their school friends even over ten years after their graduations. I started working in my families business in high school, left there and went to work at O'Brien Waterskis. I married my husband in 1976 a couple years later our first son was born and I enjoyed a couple years as a stay at home mom after our second son I needed to go back to work with my family manufacturing Spantex Paint. I am now partners in that business with my brother. Working with family has been a great way to raise children as we were able to be flexible and be at the kids activities.
My hero would have to be Jesus Christ. He provides me with strength to deal with everyday trials as well as THE BIG ONES. There have been many situations where I have had to put all my trust in Him.

ive close enough for me to get to play with my grandchildren at least once a week.
So far I've learned that Doug and I did it right. Our sons were very strong men when their dad died a few years ago. I was amazed at how many of their friends went to sit with Doug for hours in the hospital.
My first crush? That's easy, I met him in nursery school. He is happily married and has children. You can read his bio like I did.
My best friend would tell you I'm an open book and easy to know, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as intimidating.
I share my home with a dog and cat which I find very comforting.
If I had one do over? Maybe it would have been not to let the shy girl image play out as long as it did in high school.
Childhood memories I'll never forget. The day Kennedy was shot. The drills where we got under our desk if we were being attacked. Planning a bomb shelter. I had nightmares about the Russian's coming to get me. The big earthquake that hit one morning before school in the 60's. Huh, look at that, all those things happened in the 60's.
