Sharon's Story
December 2009
I am a sixth grade teacher in Terrebonne Parish; retiring in 1 1/2 years, yeah!
I have 4 sons, all self-supporting (thank goodness) and 3 are married. Three grandchildren ages 19, 11, & 2 years. Been married 40 years to Gary who is an Allstate agent.
I love to travel and I have traveled to 32 states including Hawaii (Maui & Oahu), and to Mexico, Europe and Asia. I enjoy history(which I teach) so I enjoy visiting new places. I travel to Washington, D.C. each Easter with students and their family members.

I attended Prytania Private School from 6th grade(1962) until March of 1966 (9th grade) when my family moved to Houma. I would have been a member of PPS Class of 1969 if we had stayed in New Orleans.

Thoroughly enjoying retirement. Have taken 6 trips the first 5 months of retirement (could life get any better?). I volunteer at the Regional Military Museum, enjoy quilting sessions weekly, & have joined 2 civic clubs. Love being available for grandkids during the weekday. Grands are 21 (a Marine), 13, 4, & 16 months.
