Greetings! Since my happy days at Cascade High with many of you - and some great teachers that we probably didn't appreciate as much as we should - I have been very fortunate. My soulmate and husband Steve is a former Lt. Colonel in the US Marine Corps and was also a Police Sergeant in Chatham, NJ. His knowledge of the world, pure patrotism and personal sacrifices have been an inspiration to me; knowing him has made me a better person on many levels. Steve worked in the Pentagon for twelve years and on a terrible morning in 2001 survived the 9-11 terrorist attack that killed many of his friends and co-workers. A short time later his wife Marilyn of 16 years died of breast cancer after a 7 year battle; she was 40, and is missed by all who knew her. Her only sister, Karen, has become very special to me and Steve and I consider her to be our sister. Steve and I both have lovely daughters we are very proud of - Brittany and Courtney. Britt is a mother of three boys - Jack and twins Kodiak and Kavik. She lives on Lummi Island (Whatcom Co) WA with her partner Micah. He is a Makah Native Artist/Carver. Courtney and husband Jeremy have two beautiful children and they live happily in Waxhaw, NC. Grandson, Wyatt and granddaughter, Mackenna keep them on the go. My mother Winifred lives in Sumas with my brother, Duncan. I see her often. My Dad passed away...Expand for more
