Sharon's Story
2009 is a good year for my family...
in January, my husband recieved a liver transplant to replace the one he lost to a rare liver diesease. Now, our 12-year old granddaughter is working with the Iowa Donor Network to encourage more people to become organ donors. Her speach, "Grandpa's Miracle", is being used by IDN in their education endeavors, and our granddaughter is speaking to hospital personnel about her grandpa's miracle.

ng Married on Dec 5th. When my husband was ill, he told me he knew he would be gone before the wedding. The first thing he said to our daughter when he awoke from surgery was, "I not only will be able to walk you down the aisle, I will dance at your wedding."
Yes, God has been very good to us in 2009. Two out of 3 people die waiting for a liver transplant. We don't know why God chose us to receive this miracle, but we are enjoying every day to the fullest.
