Sharon's Story
After 25 years with the US Postal Service I retired in 2003. My husband, Bill Kaufman and I returned to Morristown in 2007. We are building a retirement home. Grainger County met our retirement needs: no interstate - no airport - no Walmart - just quite, country living without all the traffic and noise. It has been nice to meet old friends and to make new ones. In order to meet my retirement habit I started giving Mah Jongg lessons. The only drawback to this area is, my granddaughter lives in Fort Worth, Texas. I did not mind my daughter not living near me until a miracle happened in 2009 when my only grandchild was born. For me, her birth added another dimension of love to this human experience. I enjoy entertaining friends and family, attending cultural events, painting (at a primitive level), travel, music, meditation, reading and especially having fun. I am spiritual but not religious. The goal I have not achieved is to become so uninhibited I will not be embarrassed to dance naked in the full moon light.
