Sharon's Story
Life
My family moved from St. Louis to Overland when I was about 3, we moved to Maryland Heights when I was 5. Attended Maryland Heights School from first grade through high school.
I married and moved to Southern California when I was 22. Worked for TRW in Redondo Beach for 33 years then took early retirement after getting breast cancer.
School
I liked almost all of my teachers, but my favorite high school teacher and the teacher who inspired me most was Mrs. Mosely.
Workplace
Shortly after moving to southern California in 1966, I went to work for TRW Space & Defense Syst...Expand for more
ems, where I was a secretary for a little over 18 years. I went from a secretarial position to an Engineering Data Analyst position, a fancy name for working with databases, word processing, graphics, etc. After 33 years with the company, when I turned 55 I took early retirement.
For me, TRW was the best company in the world to work for. I loved all the jobs I had at TRW, up until about the last five years or so before I retired. The last five years is another story which I won't go into because as the saying goes "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all".
