Sharon Alexander:  

In high school I loved my Art classes; I always wanted to be an artist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. I was also in DECA and worked at the Baytown Credit Union my last two years of high school. I was a member of the National Honor Society and attended some of those meetings whenever I could find the time. I met my future husband, Mike Alexander, when I was a junior in high school (although he was from Snyder, TX and already worked at Humble Oil & Refining). I lived out on Trinity Bay in Beach City, TX, and drove a 1964 Ford Galaxy to school. Since I didn't live in town or attend a full day of school, and spent all my free time with my fiance, I didn't enjoy any super close high school friendships, but I always enjoyed activities with my classmates in Mrs. Holts Distributive Education class. I graduated on May 28, 1970 and got married May 30th! We built a home in Beach City and were married for almost 32 wonderful years and had two beautiful daughters before he passed away in 2001.
