It's funny as you get older, you think back on your high school years and wonder where everyone is, what are they doing and where has life's journey taken them and will they remember me??????
I am such a different person than I was in high school. I'm grown up now and have learned so much about life. As most of you know, I married right out of high school, had a baby girl Shea two years later. We lived in Canton for several years and then moved to Atlanta, GA. Let me tell you, I was a country girl going to the city. But, that's where I did most of my growing up. I have a wonderful career that just fell in my lap one day (many years ago) and it just seems that it's what I was meant to do! Medical Staff Services, Credentialing, Privileging - most people have no idea what that is and/or what it means. I didn't either. To make it short, it's processing physician and allied health professional's credentials to ensure they are who they say they are, appropriately trained to care for patients and that they are competent to do so. Ultimately, it's all ensuring quality patient care in the hospital setting. I work with many physicians (some nice some not so much). I monitor that they are following the medical staff bylaws (i.e. rules) and if they don't, I have to let them know.
Enough about me. I hope you all remember me!
