re! Hallelujah! 6/20/2007 Update: My weight loss has stalled, but I am still approximately 1/2 of the woman I used to be! Family Issues: My husband has been disabled for many years. He keeps the home fires burning while I work. We have total role reversal, but it works for us. Our son moved back home in 2003 to help me prepare for/ recover from surgery. Shortly thereafter, he started losing his eyesight due to Type I diabetes. He is now totally blind. He began college to learn to support himself with his brain rather than his brawn, but had to quit after his 3rd semester due to renal (kidney) failure. Another symptom of diabetes! We are striving toward getting him on the transplant list for a double transplant... kidney & pancrease. He has such a wonderful attitude. Our family accepts the challenges we are handed and we DEAL with them. We don't moan and cry about what others might perceive as a tragedy. Roll with the punches, get up, dust yourself off and start all over again! Got a basket full of lemons? Make Lemonade! Keep us in your prayers.
