Sharron's Story
After years working as a government relations director and lobbyist, I retired at 62. It was time to stop wearing high heel shoes and business suits. It was also time for someone else enjoy all the long hours and seemingly endless travel. I had enrolled in law school (I guess I am a late bloomer), when everything suddenly changed. children died suddenly, my son was in Iraq, and my mother-in-law came to live with me. My carefully choreographed life turned completely upside down, which was quite a shock and quite a blessing. I've learned to take one day at a time, enjoy my yard and flowers, and savor the sights and sounds of life. I also bought a hammock, which is hell to get in and out of, but heavenly to lie in and meditate.
