Life Update December 28, 2009: still living in Paris, France, with all three kids (19, 22 and 24), happily divorced from my French husband. My eldest daughter, Camille, works with the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort chain and was in located in Bora Bora, but even paradise gets boring-boring, so she's back working at the Georges V, "the world's finest hotel", according to numerous guides. I have a new job as a technical translator with the BNP Paribas bank. I still have high hopes for Obama, and if you guys think government-sponsored health care is crapola compared to HMOs, well, I invite you to come visit and break an arm or something minor, to see how you will be received into a top-quality hospital, pay zero for treatment, hospital stay, X-rays and so on. We all pay part of our health care, on a monthly basis, but no one has ever had to choose which finger to have sewn back on... Our President, Sarkozy, is kind of "Hollywood" - meaning he's best known for the company he keeps and the babe he married (after a 2 month courtship; they were introduced by an ex boss of mine).
