Workplace My work experience has always been compatible with the schedules and needs of my family. I was a secretary -receptionist for a company that owned and operated convalescent homes, and through that experience, I became familiar with Title 22 which governs not only conval homes but also adult and child daycare centers/preschools. When my children were in high school, I started working in private preschools as a teacher and within three years, I was hired to organize and open a preschool/daycare center as the director. I was the director of that school until I retired in 2000 after serving 18 years in that capacity. I always wanted to be a teacher but also to be able to use my administrative skills.
