That ¿turning point¿ in our lives when sometimes wonderful sometimes not, but always life-changing events happen to us. ital. Mom was in her fourth year of dementia, but nothing was wrong, as far as we knew, that threatened her life. How wrong we were. More than 40 years of prescription drugs, used to control her high blood pressure, had resulted in polycystic kidney disease, for which there is no cure - the only sign or symptom is sudden death. In fact, within a month, she was dead. Prescription drugs had ravaged her kidneys. Autopsy pictures of them looked like Swiss cheese ¿ the holes allowing toxins to dump directly into her bloodstream, poisoning her. I was with Mom, Dad and "Binky", our cat, as I watched, day by day, as she slowly slipped away. One small consolation was that we were able to fulfill a last wish and take her home to be with her family. Within 36 hours, she was gone. At some moment during those difficult days and hours -- I can¿t say exactly when ¿ I realized my life was duplicating hers. I, too, had the same medical issues: excess weight, high blood pressure and hand-crippling arthritis. To see myself in her scared me beyond words. But it also marked the ¿turning point¿ I mention above. Let¿s skip ahead¿ Today my dad is 86 and, except for manageable diabetes, he¿s in good health. He has a strong fortitude. Since my mother¿s death, we¿ve added more Living and Raw Food to his diet and have weaned him off sugar. As I¿m sure all loving daughters understand, I'm "watching him like a hawk". For me, the journey into Living Food has changed my life, literally. The human body has always been my passion, and with more than 30 years experience in the medical profession, including the operating room, I know it very well! But since becoming a Gourmet Raw Food Chef & Instructor, I¿ve learned so much more! About: ¿ Nutrition and how it plays a major role in the quality of our lives. ¿ Our bodies, and the fact that no matter how badly we abuse them, they have a miraculous ability to heal themselves, sometimes in the form of a repair, sometimes in the form of relief. I continue to learn, and am now teaching and sharing this passion in my classes. So, my message to you is this: If you are currently taking prescription drugs, please read my story carefully, and understand my message¿ There is help for you IF you are willing to take responsibility. There is a whole new world of healthy food and healthy eating waiting for you ¿ and if you choose, it will be a truly wondrous journey of discovery and personal accomplishment! This is my advice¿ work with a holistic or naturopath advisor to control your cravings and help you detoxify from refined foods, including meat, dairy and fish. As you detoxify you will notice a dramatic shift in your palate (taste buds). The foods you used to love will not taste as good as before! For me, the journey into Living and Raw Food is an evolution that my body has now taken on its own. I have willingly followed, and now experience, health, energy and vibrancy I haven't known since I was in my 20's. Believe it or not, I will be 62 years young on my next birthday! Listen to your body, it will tell you whether it wants to eat or not. I have learned how to ¿eat to live¿, not ¿live to eat". With Living and Raw Food you DO NOT starve yourself. Portion control is important, of course, but you will eat delicious and decadent recipes, some so simple they can be prepared in 10 minutes or less. Decide today to take control of your life, and come join us, please! Health to You! Chef Sharynne Sharynne Gambrell-Frazer Gourmet Raw Food Chef Author, Natural Health Advocate, Speaker & Teacher
