Major Highlights: · 06 Jun 94 joined 1st RTBn in San Diego earning the title of Marine on 26 Aug 94. · Sep 94 spent at Camp Pendleton in the Marine Combat Training, School of Infantry · Oct 94 spent at MATSG-90 in Millington, Tn training as a Basic Helicopter Mechanic · Nov 94 joined MAG-46, Det B, 4thMAW before going to CH53 Helicopter Mechanic school at HMT-302, MAG-16, 3d MAW, MCAS Tustin, CA from Dec 94 thru Mar 95 · Mar 95 - Nov 98 served with HMM-769, MAG-46 Det B, 4th MAW. · Went to Officer Candidate School, Platoon Leaders Course (Juniors) during the summer of 1996 and Platoon Leaders Course (Seniors) during summer of 1997. · 29 May 98: Received his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from California State University, Long Beach. · Commissioned 01 Aug 98 (Source: PLC-Ground) and served as the Assistant Base Realignment and Closure officer for MAG-46 Det B where he helped prepare the unit for its move from MCAS El Toro to Edwards Air Force Base. · Nov 98 joined Alpha Co, The Basic School. · May 99 transferred to MCB Camp Pendleton for Assault Amphibian School. While serving as an AAV Platoon Commander, he did a six month deployment with Battalion Landing Team 1/5, 31st MEU(SOC). Upon returning from deployment, he served as the Mobility/Counter-Mobility Platoon Commander, gaining mine countermeasure experience. · Aug 02 joined Naval Postgraduate School for study in the Operations Research Curriculum. His thesis work included analysis of self-reported survey data from combat forces operating in Iraq and Kuwait regarding fatigue and performance concerns. He earned his Masters of Science degree in September 2004. · Sep 04 joined Headquarters Marine Corps, Manpower and Reserve Affairs for duty as an Operations Analyst. · Aug 07 assumed command of Headquarters Company, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA. As the company commander, deployed with Regimental Combat Team 1 to Fallujah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom FY08.
