Shawn's Story
Here's the Cliff notes version: I graduated from college in 1996 with a teaching degree. I taught public school for one year (1996-1997) during which I got married, pregnant, had a son and divorced. I worked a couple of odd jobs (daycare and waitressing) until I worked full time as a teacher again (1998-1999). I quit teaching to work nights full time on Bourbon Street. hter in 2002. Then we had another daughter this year (surprise!). I have been a full time stay-at-home mom since 2000. I started homechooling my kids in 2004. I am so busy raising my kids, teaching my kids, running a household, paying the bills, driving to doctors and dentists appointments, (not to mention the vet), shopping and cooking, that it is not uncommon for me to wake up with the theme song from "Rocky" or the William Tell Overture playing in my head.
