Shawn's Story
Went to Brighton High School. Moved to Ohio where I joined the Army. I was a Patriot Missile Operator/Maintainer (24T which is now 2 separate army jobs). Went to Germany, did 2 tours in the Mid-East, stationed at Ft. Lewis and Ft. Bliss as well.
Got out and went to the University of Wyoming earning a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Met my future wife at College and joined the Wyoming National Guard while I was still in College.
Got married after I graduated and we have 2 kids, both girls, on whom I blame my gray hairs. I went to work for a company that builds automated control systems and found my home. I worked my way up through the company from Field Engineer to Department Head. D...Expand for more
uring that time I did 2 more tours in the Mid-East post 9/11 before retiring from the Guard with 20 years of service.
If you made it this far I'm actually surprised. Good for you! I'm still married because my wife is the greatest. I backpack, play paintball, cross country ski, run 1/2 marathons (I ran a full marathon and that proved I should stick to just running 1/2s) and mountain bike (poorly). I still listen to Industrial and alternative music with a continuing fondness for Disco. I'm still a little weird but people don't notice because I look completely normal so it's all good.
