Shawn's Story
In 1985 I moved to NYC where I became a lighting and sound designer for nightclub performances. I got really good at it and won a few awards. After that, the only thing left for me to do was become a minister. I am aware that I did not leave high school voted most likely to be a minister. I may have been voted most likely to need one however. I'm a Unity minister so I'm not particularly religious, but I do have the opportunity to remember the Good that is in me on a daily basis, and I get to remind others that there is Good in them every day as well. the web address here.. The point of the show is to redirect our thoughts away from being a victim and towards possibility. I live an amazing life. Why? Because I say so. It is especially amazing when you consider the life I come from as a child and teenager. If you looked at me then, you wouldn't know that I could be this grateful now. Thank you everybody who was kind, and to everybody who was not so kind. I learned from all of you. I learned that what I think everybody else is thinking isn't so important.
