Shawn's Story
I have changed quite a bit since the days at Roberson. I am way more outgoing. After high school, I went to ASU and got my degree in Elem. Ed. Then I went to grad school at WCU and got my master's degree in elem. ed. I went back to WCU a few years ago and got a license to teach just gifted students. Currently, I teach 3rd graders in Asheville. In 1999, I received my National Board certification in education. I renewed that last year. I do not intend to in the near future. When my kids get older, I might go back and get my doctorate so I can teach college. Speaking of kids, I have 3. My twin girls were born in Dec. of '03. My son was born in May of '05. I'm done in that area too. I had lots of miscarriages and had to go through IVF to have my twins. My son, no problems. It seems that the process of IVF, pregnancy, and delivery to the infertility right out of me. My girls were 8 months old when I had the postive pregnancy test for my son. It is busy at my house.
