Shawnette's Story
Life
I did transfer to Marshall as a Junior right after my mom died because Franklin had no future for me. I went to the next nearest school. I couldn't go to our Rival School Cleveland! LOL! So it had to be Marshall.
I left Franklin because I was categorized a Partier/Stoner and when I tried to get involved in sports & clubs and healthier activities (LOL), it was too late... coaches didn't want me... too high risk. Of course skipping 45 days and then going in and cruising through the final makes me wonder what was learned in the first place ha ha.
MHS was my saviour because I looked exactly like a girl named Susan Norton (God Bless Her!)... She was really nice and Social Class with solid grades, Cheer Squad, Homecoming Queen, very nice person (I met her & gave her a big hug for all of her hard work). I was 'in' before I even registered... Very cool... my GPA went from .8 to 3.8 basically saving my rearend for the rest of my future.
Longer story shortened... To date, I have developed a few business plans that are still succesful today (ego trip for me ha ha)... I am a Sales Manager for Consumer Portfolio Services which allows me to still make the bucks but with a flexible schedule to coach youth cheerleading and be active with my two teenage girls. My career gives me roadtrip time to work on s...Expand for more
inging Christian Butt-Rock (inspired by Sammy Hagar of course). I've been divorced since 1995 and own a big, charming 1927 brick home in Camas. My girls have a big dorky dog and a couple of crazy cats. My focus is on being 'content' and not sure what else to say in a bio soooo... pop me an email... would ja?
So many tough things happened to me during these high school years especially with my parents. I've recently been in touch with my absolutely true best buddies of all time Laura Norvell, Matt Reihl and Steve Smith. I apologized to each of them for being such a b**** and pushing them all away. I was told they were at my moms funeral right there beside me. I was in a state of shock with the abandonment of my mom dying & don't remember much. It means alot to me that I had/have true friends.
Who else is out there that I know from 'back in the day'. We were all a part of some pretty awesome social events don't you agree!
Please pop me an email if you remember me... I know there is some really fun stuff we all did together. I would love to hear about them... do tell, do tell : ) Who all went to Oregon Jam with us? Funny! I wonder who's front yard we slept in the first year!!
This Classmates thing is a great idea (wish I'd thought of it lol)... I hope you'll pop me an email to say hello.
