Sheila's Story
Life
I married Randy Massey from Animas in May of 1970. We have three grown children who have married and blessed us with 7 wonderful grandchildren. We farm with two of our children and their spouses as well as other family members. One daughter and her husband teach school in Las Cruces. I serve on the Hidalgo County Fair Board and am very involved in National Women Involved in Farm Economics (WIFE). I served as National WIFE President in 1998-1999. I am very involved in the Republican Party and am currently serving as Hidalgo County GOP Chair. Politics is a passion of mine much to my family's dismay from time to time. However they do continue to support me.

never change...once a 4-H'er always a 4-H'er. My time is spent pretty much enjoying my grandchildren and staying on top of legislative issues affecting agriculture.
My hobbies include painting with oils, crafting, and I love playing No-limit Texas Hold 'Em. I can sit for hours and play on the internet...for play money of course!
Life is good here on our farm in Animas...I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I never thought there would be anything better than motherhood...until I became a grandmother and found that to be equally as great! I look forward to watching our little darlings grow up and taking part in their school, 4-H and FFA activities.
That pretty well sums up my life since high school.
