Antonette's Story

Life My Spouse I met my spouse at a dance club in Topeka, KS and he was from the military base visiting. I was alone at the table when he asked me to dance and coming from Chicago and loving to dance, I said yes and we have been dancing together since. My Pets My pet is multicolored and has a wing-span of about 8 inches. She makes a lot of noise, especially in the mornings and drives my husband up the wall sometimes. She loves our jewelry on our fingers. She is about six years old now and her cage needs cleaning often. Do you know what she is? I also have a pet named "Nibbles" who is 3 years old and is a black lab. We love him very much. I'm looking for a chocolate lab and a black poodle for my little girls now. My Children I have been blessed with wonderful children. My son is my oldest and I have three girls. They are the thrills of my life and the chills :-) I wouldn't even think about trading them in at all. A good suspenseful drama or sitting by a waterfall quitely reading a book with no bugs whatsoever. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my own space, take lunch when I like, and pleasant people to be able to deal with the day-to-day. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Kenny Jones, because our wonderful friendship was broken for the wrong reasons by others and I think it hurt us both but we were too young and respectful to do anything about it. I love Survivor and plan to be one of the participants in the future. I also love sporting clay shooting and plan to be a champion shooter one day. My biggest surprise in life is still surprising to me...that is-how did I get stuck in Kansas????? If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my bedroom and add on a large office. My dream home would be somewhere warm. Pesonalities certainly differ for each. You can't raise one the way you raised another. Whew!!! I would love to see Mrs. Sylvester who was my Literature teacher at Lindblom. I was afraid of her when I first got in her class but she be...Expand for more
came my favorite when it was all over. If I won $100 million, I'd give the church some of it to remodel, then spend the rest on travel, a 2nd home in my favorite travel spot or two and sit on the rest until I figure out the wise thing to do with it. To be truly happy, I would be where, doing what, with whom? Hmmm, I'd better keep that one to myself. My current age is 40. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong because I have a ball for my age. I plan to be a best-selling author in my very near future. My first crush? Hmmm, I don't know but would sure like to find out. My best friend would tell you I'm wild and crazy sometimes, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as very quite. NO Way do I dress like I did 10 or 20 years ago. The weirdest job I ever had was when I was about 19 years old and I worked in a mental institution. Oh boy, was that an experience. If I knew what I know now. I share my home with my husband and children, which I find delightful at times. If I had one do-over that would be my secret alone. I have many. But if I must admit one at all, the first that comes to mind is that I would have said "yes" to the man that asked me to have his child if I really knew he would have stuck by me. In 10 years, I hope to be retired, debt-free, and financially stable. I'm going to get there by reaching my goals. Tonette is my oldest friend. We met because her parents owned the building my grandmother rented an apartment in. We were so much alike and that's what made us click. What about me that would surprise everyone at my high school reunion is that I am an Evangelist. My first job was at McDonald's, where I got paid 3.65 an hour to 5.80 an hour. What I remember most about it is I was a great supervisor and all my employees loved me. But I was also a problem for my supervisors because I didn't take no stuff from nobody. I have too many good childhood memories to share. So I won't share at this time.
