Sheila's Story

Life Im still alive and kicking and verticle every day.(so far anyway)Have a great husband .(#3 but who's counting?) they say 3's a charm..Lasted the longest .I dabble at jobs.Dont like anything too steady.Have a one eyed cat(Gypsie Snow) she is snow white. not a spot on her.. whom we rescued in the middle of nowhere(Podunksville Nebraska)My dog Oodah mentioned before that we rescued also.We have two rescued horses ...They have become the love of my life. I spent. hours with my horses.Registered tennessee Walker(Velvet) and his side kick a onry little pony(Buddy)They have become very close to my heart.Neither Rob nor I are from Nebraska. Rob is from Chicago so how we got here? dunno..actually I do. My only brother ws dieing of kidney cancer and I wanted to be with him so I came down to stay awhile and we both ended up here.. We lived in Greece for awhile.Traveled Europe and also lived in Georgia.(did you hear the only reason Florida is even there is because Georgia sucks so much) As for me,I have a bright red supercharged MR2T-Top sportscar which I bought for my 50th.midlife crisis car.Got rid of the Infinity(old ladies car) .My age freaks me out.I should not be 56 years old!! I refuse to grow old.Life has gone by much too fast and there is still so much to enjoy.Well I guess I cant refuse to grow old but I can refuse to grow up.. I do come to WA regularly.Would like to hook up some some people .. NOW BACK IN WA. Hubby still in NE. Stubborn!! Im lovin my new first grandaughter. 6 mo old now. Gabrielle Raven.Such a doll. Immage of her mom .. I watch her four days a week for them. I love every minute of it. Plus DesMoines is a beautiful area.. I love the water front.Missed that in Nebraska.Good to be back with my mountain and my ocean again. School I remember school starting out in playschool at Clover Creek Elementery. then Bethel Jr High and then of course BHS. I didnt enjoy highschool at all as I was never allowed to do any activities until my senior year and few then. I was however allowed to participate in Mrs Fix home ec class for some reason. My dad would let me do anything she wanted me to do. I remember my senior year I had four home ec classes and three required. IT was not a bad year at all.I lived in the Home Ec room.Being her teacher aide my friend Kitty and I were allowed to take her car and go to her home in Kapowsin during the day to cook and set up for teacher's meetings that were held the...Expand for more
re. It was great Guess that had to be my favorite class and I remember talking to Mrs Fix before we were moving to Greece and she was very excited for me as I would have an experience with exotic food and culture. She died while I was away and we never got to talk about it. I really missed that. I so enjoyed her...I cant say much about highschool or school in general. It wasnt fun going to school almost daily with whelts all over me for who knows what(having the wrong look on my face)when my dad was in a bad mood. Its no wonder that I only made the honoroll one year. That was the year my dad bribed me with a motorcycle.. I did it! when I got the motorcycle,I resumed my usual grades. But, consequently I encouraged my daughter to be very outgoing and she was involved in every activity and student council and extra curricular activity there was.She is a much more able to handle life than I was for years. She had direction and encouragement which I never had. She had several college credits in Biology, Chemistry and calculus before she even got out of highschool.I am very proud of her.So in the long run, I guess my youth made me a much stronger person and parent and able to set a better example for her and of course I certainly dont have any more problems with self expression ..funny in highschool I would say hardly anything. I was so insecure and horrified.. but now, I dont shut up and I have an opinion on everything..and I will gladly share it lolol College It was a grey day when I realized I was actually going to turn 50 on my next birthday so I decided the thing for me to do was to go back to school.. I did. I got my first degree as an herbologist. Something I have found I truely enjoy working with. Being a vegetarian,my husband and daughter also, I turned toward homeopathic and naturepathic solutions and remedies. Gee I sure would have made a good hippie in the 60s if I would have realized it back then. Is it too late?? hm.Never.!!By the way I graduated with an "A" average...haha. Workplace Worked mostly for the Army AirForce Exchange most of my adult life (22 years) Then dabbled in whatever interested me along the way. From bartending to file clerk to Theatre management. To store management. and finally owning my own natural foods store. Loved it but was too confining.. I like to be free to go....Now presently I am just enjoying life and preparing to go visit my daughter in WA.real soon for about 4 months.
