Sheila's Story
Life
After graduating from South Sumter High I spent 2 years in the army stationed in Dexheim & Bad Kreuznach Germany. What an awesome experience that was! I was spoiled because I was 1 of only 3 females on our base when I was in Dexheim so of course we would get a lot of attention. I was then sent to headquaters in Bad Kreuznach with the 8th Infantry Division where I worked with the Chaplains that were over all of the other bases in Germany. I had so much fun. We would go out & visit different units while they were in the field and since they were infantry units I had the opportunity to do things I never thought I would be able to do. I rode in & on different types of tanks & people movers and was able to fly in many different types of helicopters. What an experience.
After getting out in 1988 I decided to move back to St. Petersburg where I decided to become a CNA then a MA and some how down the line I ended up in billing & collections & have been doing that for 20 years now. I worked at a Clinic for 2 years, then at All Children's Hospital for 8 years, for a chiropractor's office for 2 years and have been at Bayfront Medical Center now for 8 1/...Expand for more

I have been married for 17 years now and have 1 stepson & a grandaughter that will be 2 in October.
It is sometimes hard to imagine how many years have gone by since high school. Things definitely turned out different then I expected. I have so many wonderful memories from both Gibbs & South Sumter and would love to hear from my old friends so drop a line when you can. :)
My Pets
We have a Blue Front Amazon Parrot named Baby who loves to talk up a storm.
Paddington showed up in our yard in November of 1995 and she is a beautiful long haired calico cat.
Tigger is the 2nd oldest of the cats and tends to get into troupble.
Obie is the baby (6 years old) and thinks he is a puppy. He loves to play fetch & and sleeps in bed with us every night.
My Kids
I have a step son, Steven who is 27 and we have a granddaughter that turned 3 on October 25th.
My Job
I am the Insurance Coordinator/Supervisor at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg and have been there 11 years. I have been in the medical billing & collection field for 23 years now, hard to believe how time flies and of course I never imagined I would be doing this for a living.
