Sheila's Story
Hi, Everyone -- I grew up on Hughes Street only 2 block from the old Vinson. I attended from 1st grade (Mrs. Quarles) to the 12th, except for the second grade when I went to Buffalo. I married Charles Lockhart (Huntington High) in 1954, and in 1958 we moved to Columbus, Ohio. From there we moved to Florida. In 1969 we moved to Charlotte, NC. Charlie and I divorced in 1980. I have 2 sons and a daughter and 3 grandchildren. I still live in Charlotte.
I remarried in 1991 to Jim "Slick" Evans. He has 3 children and 10 gr...Expand for more
andchildren and 1 great-grandchild. After marrying Slick, I was able to take some writing courses, and have now published three novels. However, I am writing under the pen name of SHEILA HUNTINGTON. The books are on Amazon and Kindle as well as being sold at a local bookstore in Charlotte.
Slick and I live in a retirement community, The Cypress of Charlotte, and love it. The food is excellent (I don't have to cook!) and there are many activities to do and the residents and staff are great.
