Sheila's Story
In searching for a picture on the computer of me, I ended up with the one taken with Keith Anderson the last time I was in Nashville. I find I take a lot of pictures, but don't have a lot taken of me.
I have been married to Steve Rusk for 22 years. We live on 4 acres in Madison County and love living in the country. I am the Mom to a son, Ray who lives in Lasa Vegas and a daughter, Renee who lives in WDM and Grandma/Nana to 7. I spent most of my career in Human Resources, but am retired and currently work PT in women's retail.
Kindergarten was Wallace Elementary on E. 13th & Cleveland. 1st through 7th grade was a little country school in Ivy, Iowa--Garrett Grove and then 8th and 9th at Woodrow Wilson Jr. High....Expand for more
At Tech, I was in the Stenographic core area. And I started my career as a legal secretary.
I love to garden, scrapbook and make jewelry.
I've never left the central Iowa area, although I've lived in the country twice and in Des Moines in two different houses.
My best friend in High School was Sandy Sims (Throop now) and we are still BFFs.
Jr. High I was very close to Rondella Willard, and although she lives in Texas now, we are still in contact.
We built our home 4 years ago and seem to always be doing something else to it.
I love country music, although I still listen to the oldies. My daughter and I have attended the Country Music Festival (Fan Fair) 3 times. We love the area and the atmosphere.
