Sheila's Story

My husband and I have been married for 8 1/2 years. Back in June of 2005 we got a call from the state of CT asking if we would like custody of my stepson. Of course we said YES! We had to leave that afternoon to get him. After a year long fight with his mother we finally got custody! He is MMR secodary to FAS so it took us awhile to ...Expand for more
get him to where he is today. He is a great kid and a joy to have around! We are also Theraputic Foster parents to a 17 year old boy. It is hard work even though I am a stay at home Mom. I work harder now then when I worked outside the home! Being a theraputic foster parent means alot of appointments and meetings and paperwork.
