We attended the same grade school, high school and University. At MPH we were even in Band together. I made some good friends in Concert Band. One even helped me with a bully, and I thanked her for it when I was planning the “Reunion 2000”. Being a people person, I thoroughly enjoyed planning the reunion, even though it was a ton of work. I ended up heading 2 reunions. Trying to be centrally located, they were held in Chicago's downtown. We wanted to appeal to people from everywhere (out of state, and anywhere in the Chicagoland area). Always interested in the whys, I became an educator. Remember when growing up, "Why Johnny Can't Read?" was a mantra heard for years. I wanted to know. I became interested in education, particularly in Chicago.
