Shelby's Story
During his time at Hueytown High School Shelby lived in Concord, Alabama. Shelby's schools include Hueytown High School, Samford University, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Shelby pastored and was on staff of churches in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and Tennessee. He retired after 20 years as pastor at Walter Hill First Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, Tn.

Minister of Worship, Youth, Outreach, and Pastor. He never lived at any one place longer than 4 years until coming to Smyrna, Tn where he has lived the last 33 years. He is blessed with a beautiful wife Debby Frey Smith, also a graduate of Samford University, Birmingham. as a Registered Nurse. Debby works as a Nurse Practitioner. They have three wonderful girls: Shanon - Vice President over Zales (Duane) Shelley - LifeWay Manager over IT (Todd) and Sheila - professional artist (Joe) and five grandchildren: Tyler, Ellie, Savannah, Grayson, and Rosie. I feel blessed. My cup runs over with His goodness and loving care!
